About E-PAL

PAL is funded by private donations and fundraising events held by officer and volunteers some of our biggest contributors are the Eastlake VFW Post, Louie Run Foundation, Eastlake Wal-Mart, Circle Lounge and Restaurant, and the Gould Corporation.  Some of the fundraising events we have run are Chinese auction, Harlem Wizard basketball games, motorcycle and car shows, dunk tank and instant bingo.  Please SUPPORT EASTLAKE's CHILDREN - Click here to see how to donate.

E-PAL CENTER - The PAL center is open every Monday thru Thursday from 3pm to 8pm (***New Hours***).  Any youth between the ages of 6 and 17 years old that attend the Willoughby Eastlake School District are welcome.  We offer a Homework room with computers and internet access for school projects and assignments.  Our "hangout room" is where the kids sit and relax and talk and watch TV while enjoying soup, snacks, and drinks offered daily.  Members are in Open Gym playing basketball, volleyball, and kickball games from open to close everyday.  There is NO cost to join Eastlake PAL although we do require a membership application be filled out by a parent and returned.

TEEN DANCES - Our dances were established to give the children in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades a safe environment and a night of entertainment on Friday nights.  The dances are held from 7pm to 10pm during the school year.  The dance attracts between 350 and 450 children per dance.  The dances are staffed with at least eight adults consisting of Police officers, parents, and teachers.  The PAL Youth Committee members also participate in the dances by setting up, helping in the snack bar and running the lockers.

PAL YOUTH COMMITTEE (PYC) - The PYC is comprised of boys and girls 12 to 17 years old.  The PYC elects its officers and are self governing with the advice of a PAL advisor.  The PYC is given tasks that help them develop a sense of leadership.  They volunteer within the E-PAL program running the game room and coat lockers, assist in all E-PAL fundraisers, help at the E-PAL center and serve as a youth advisory group to the E-PAL program.  PYC members must maintain a 2.5 or higher grade point average in school.

CADET PROGRAM - The Cadet Program is designed to assist juveniles 14 to 18 years old who have an interest in the law enforcement field.  The program is designed to teach several aspects of law enforcement.  The Cadets are assigned to a basic training program, which teaches them about the qualifications to be in law enforcement.  The Cadets work with the officers during law enforcement week and perform many activities such as, fingerprinting children, DNA kits, public speaking engagements and learn to become positive role models.
